Two
tracks are offered by our parish for people of various ages
who wish to enter the Catholic Church or learn more about
their Catholic faith. One track is for adults, the other track
is for youth between 8 and 17 years of age. The process is
known as the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.).
R.C.I.A.
is a faith discernment process of gatherings, discussions,
social activities and rituals. People seeking to become
Catholic Christians are educated, spiritually formed and
initiated through the sacraments of baptism and/or
confirmation and first Eucharist. If you are thinking of
becoming a Catholic, this is the place for you!
The
initiation rites also strive to rekindle the faith of the
whole parish, to communicate and clarify our Catholic
tradition, and to build our identity as a community united by
faith in Jesus Christ.
The
program needs leader-companions to accompany participants on
their journey toward full communion with the Church. In our
year-round initiation process, we are always seeking warm and
welcoming Vatican II Catholics alive in their faith to join
our team of parishioners. We are called to offer prayer
leadership, hospitality, prayer support, sponsorship, and much
more. In short, we need you, if you are a confirmed and active
Catholic Christian.
The
program for young people between 8 and 17 years of age, is
tailored to young people who want to be baptized in the
Catholic Church or who were baptized in another Christian
tradition, but wish to become Catholic.
In
short, we have formation, educational and social development
programs geared to different ages and needs. Whether for
adults or children, our initiation programs welcome your
presence and support! Contact us for further information.
