Candidates
for the Sacrament of Confirmation have a basic understanding
of Catholicism and the desire to grow in faith, in
relationship with God and in relationship with others. With this as part of
their experience, candidates prepare for about one year for
the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation. During this
preparation period, community life, service, prayer and an
ongoing exploration of faith play in integral part. The
celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation is a public
celebration of past, present and future membership and
participation in the Catholic Church embracing the Gospel of
Jesus Christ and the empowerment that the Holy Spirit endows
to carry out the mission of Christ and his Church.
