Our Mission is “to care for the stranger among us”, by providing a safe and affirming environment where homeless families can be supported as they work towards finding more permanent housing.

The ministry is based on an existing model, which has been working since 1988 across the country. The program assists temporary homeless families with shelter, food, hospitality, and professional case management until they can be placed in more permanent housing. We work with other congregations on the Peninsula taking a week to host families in our parish hall on a rotating schedule. We provide food and lodging, as well as, the hospitality of sharing meals, and tending to the children. During the day, the families go to a day care center where their additional needs are met. We, who are involved in I.H.N. are excited to be helping. We have felt God’s call, and his Spirit in all we have done so far.
