Stewardship
St. Catherine of Siena
Parish comes alive when all (parishioners and staff) are
good stewards, giving of their time, talents, and treasure. There
are many ways (ministries and activities) in which
we can share our time and talents with others, but the
following are ways in which we can share our ‘treasure’ for
the good of the parish.
Weekly
Contribution:
We
publicize the amount of money we need weekly to run the
parish and parishioners' generous contributions in the weekly bulletin.
Parish
Finance Council:
St. Catherine’s
has a Finance Council to review our finances and plan for
the future. New members
are most welcome.
Coming Soon: E-Giving
A convenient
new way of giving is through ‘electronic contributions’. This
not only simplifies giving, but it
also gives the parish a steady income. But what is yet
another blessing of E-giving is that it is “intentional”. With
E-giving God is important enough to be a “line item” on
one’s budget, and not
only the recipient of any ‘loose change’ one
may have in their pocket on a Sunday
morning.
Building
Fund:
St. Catherine’s
Parish has stately church and school buildings, but it was
built at a time when a wide variety
of ministries and activities did not exist, and so we find
ourselves with insufficient space for meetings, dining,
sports and storage. Also our Sisters'
living quarters need upgrading. To
accomplish all of this our Parish has started a building fund.
