The celebration of the Word with the children is part of the Sunday Liturgy. It serves the needs and rights of the children to hear God’s Word in the language that they can understand.

Liturgy of the Word with children is a mutual ministry of the entire faith community.

Every Sunday, at the 9:00 a.m. Mass, children ages 4-10 from the assembly, are invited to go to the Chapel after the Gospel is read and hear the Word proclaimed in the language that they can understand. They reflect on the readings, and offer prayers of intercession. Then they return to the assembly for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
