Mission
Statement:
The purpose of the St. Catherine of Siena Vocation Committee
is to inspire and assist our fellow parishioners in fulfilling
our communal responsibility of fostering vocations, especially
to the ordained ministry and religious life
We
hope to do this mainly in three ways----
i) Promoting parish awareness of present critical shortage of
priests and others, both men and women, who now seek or even
consider commitment to other religious principles.
ii) Fostering and sustaining a campaign of prayer for an
increase in religious vocations.
iii) Identifying, encouraging and inviting specific
individuals to consider the religious life as an initial
career or, perhaps, an alternative choice.
Program:
The Traveling Crucifix program is in its 3rd year
and continuing each weekend at all of the Masses. If you would
like to have the Traveling Crucifix in your home and join is
this vital and parish-wide prayer program for religious
vocations, please contact us.
